About Nestlerode & Loy, Inc.

Our History

Nestlerode & Company, Inc., was founded in 1937 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania by Arthur Nestlerode. Daniel Nestlerode joined his father in the firm in 1965 and became President and CEO in 1983. In 1987, Dan moved the company from Williamsport to State College, Pa., and converted the manual record system to computer. In 1990, the firm added an investment advisory service and, in 1993, Discount Brokerage of Pennsylvania was opened for people who want to manage their own funds. As of October 2005, the name of the company changed to Nestlerode & Loy, Inc. to reflect the business partnership with Judy Loy, who was Chief Financial Officer at the time. Effective July 2008, Dan retired from corporate management and handed the reins of the company over to Judy who is the current CEO. Nestlerode & Loy, Inc. is located in State College, Pa. but services individuals, families, businesses and non-profit clients throughout the United States and around the world.

Daniel J. Nestlerode

Daniel J. Nestlerode served as the President of Nestlerode & Co., Inc. from 1983 to 2008 and began his tenure there as Vice President in 1965. His community involvement included roles such as treasurer for Camp Krislund, a former board member and treasurer of Alpha Community Ambulance Service, Inc. (ACASI), founder and past President of TIPS Networking Club, past President of the 4-H Development Council at Pennsylvania State University, and treasurer & executive committee member of the Outdoor Sportsman Club. He was also a member of the Campbell Society of CCCF and a columnist for Pennsylvania Business Central and StateCollege.com.
